LUSKVILLE (May 28th, 2009) – It is with great pleasure we officially announce that Top Dragster will be competed at the Grand Bend Benson Tour Event on June 12-13-14 in Grand Bend, Ontario.
Considered the Premier Drag Strip in Canada, Grand Bend will place host for the first time ever to Canada’s Largest, and Richest Canadian based Series drag racing series. The Benson Tour which has been around for 15 years now, and boasts of the richest payouts in Canadian Drag Racing has added Top Dragster to the event which already has Top Sportsman as well.
This came about do too some tremendous support of some local and some not so local advertisers from both Southern and Eastern Ontario. The race which will contested on the 1/8 mile course will take place on Saturday Night under the lights as part of the “Night of Fire” portion of the event, as will the Top Sportsman race.
This of course will be just part of the nights activities as the $10,000. to win super pro will also be run Saturday Night under the lights. Top Dragster will run for the same $4000. total payout purse that the Top Sportsman Cars do, with the winner of the event taking home $2000. Top Dragster and Top Sportsman will be allowed 3 Qualifying shots during the late afternoon on Saturday, 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00 with eliminations beginning at 6:30.
